STARTUP
Not a lot of concrete progress today, but a lot of good conversations and planning. I found some more resources and background information, and got a bit more insight into some of the bootcamp programs.
RESOURCES
New resources I found today that seem of interest:
- The Harvard CS50 lecture that I was watching on youtube apparently comes with all the accompanying course materials
- available here
- you can enroll to follow along with the course and get a certificate for free, or for ~$500 you can get a verified certificate
- The certificate for the Harvard course is done through an organization called edX, who seem to provide certificates for a lot of courses in that way
- The list of available courses in AI is available here
- I'll cull through it a bit more tomorrow, but there are some from IBM that look interesting
- The list of available courses in AI is available here
- I found the page for an AI bootcamp offered through Columbia
- The description of the bootcamp is here
- One funny thing of note, the course description is word for word identical to the course descriptions from DU
STUDY
Spent a bit of time watching the Harvard video today - the intro so far is referring back to a lot of topics with data structures and algorithms that I studied a few years ago when preparing to interview at google.
One thing I am noticing that I may need to do as a bit of a prerequisite before getting too much further into this coursework directly, is to brush up on my python.
I will have to look into it a little, but I know there are some good resources for that available. Some of the courses that I'm looking at offer python course tailored to this work, so I'll look into those.
