STARTUP

Spent a bit more time on general market research this morning, regarding what types of certifications and levels of education tend to line up with what jobs. Nothing too revelatory, but it was a good reminder that a ML Certificate is quite different from a graduate degree, so just to make sure to keep that in mind when reviewing job postings. I think I have a pretty good sense of what jobs are appropriate given what I'm pursuing. It did also reinforce the need for building concrete examples, over just reading and studying.

STUDY

Got the acceptance email to an ai bootcamp I had applied for a few days ago. This is just a quick 4 session one, but it's run by the people doing the solana bootcamp that I want to get into, so I'm hoping it will make for good connections. Worked through the onboarding process of that, and started getting set up for the class. Applied for access to Meta's open source LLAMA models, which will be used in class in a week or two.

Started reviewing OpenAI Actions - which are an integration with a longstanding API aggregating automation provider called Zapier.

PRACTICE

Working with the new custom GPT Tools from OpenAI to start building an AI study assistant chatbot that I can work with while I study. The initial setup seems pretty straightforward from both a bot guided and a manual standpoint, but I haven't tried adding any additional reference material yet.

CHORE

Made a few more attempts at getting the authentication plugin setup on this site, but not working well enough to use yet. I've been watching a few tutorials that make me tempted to try making something new, instead of sticking existing things together, but I'm resisting that temptation until I can make it a good part of the coursework that I'm actually focusing on at the moment.
